You Can Thank A Marine!

Okay look, here's the deal.

We've got a whole lot of politicians out there who just can't stand to hear you speak your mind. When I say "you", I mean regular everyday folks who are not uber-traders on Wall Street, Corporate Executives or "gift-bearing" Lobbyists.

These recent Town Halls, where regular voters are asking simple questions of their elected officials, is really upsetting Democrats in power and the mainstream media. Expressed emotions on the part of voters and the general public is normally the domain of Liberals, who anger their constituents to a frenzied froth and unleash their fury on Republicans and extort Corporations. See Jesse Jackson, Ralph Nader, et all. The out of the Mainstream Media just loves protests, normally. They regularly inflate the number of protesters and their significance to the "discussion". But it is undeniable that the Tea Party protests that occurred earlier this year, along with the Town Hall meetings where Government Run health care is drug through the coals is having a tremendous impact on public opinion.

Even with every major media outlet outside of FOX News and the Wall Street Journal attempting to demonize regular everyday voters to protect their favorite Liberal politicians.

More often than not, we're talking about Democrat voters asking Democrat Representatives and Sentators tough, but basic questions. Because let's face facts, if it were the case that only Republicans were out there making hay, there would be no momentum. Why? Because Republicans lost big in '06 and again last year. Because Republicans are notoriously lazy, uninvolved and disinterested when it comes to expressing public outrage. They tend to express themselves with their feet and their wallets. If all of this expressed outrage was not real and if people were really not that scared of the repurcussions of living under Government Run health care, it would be painfully obvious. But when concerned citizens who refuse to be lemmings go out there and actually seek to hold their elected officals accountable for their actions in the Senate or on Capitol Hill, they are lampooned as (since the Obama election) "racists", right wing extremists, "birthers" and so on.

I mean, you remember how "Joe the Plumber" was savaged by the out of the Mainstream Media for daring to ask then Democrat Presidential Candidate Obama to elaborate on his views on taxes. This is where the teleprompter-lacking Obama made his infamous "spread the wealth around" comment. Nicely done, Comrade Obama. Moderate Democrats ignored the pink elephant in the room and went on to support an unproven, radical who has done nothing to discredit those who questioned his leadership capabilities, let alone his judgment when it comes to national security or sound fundamental economic principals.

There is something unique, something magical about seeing a regular, everyday, lunch-bucket citizen take an elected official to task. Regardless of the Party. I think this is part of the appeal of Sarah Palin. She not only taps into that raw power of the awakened Citizen, she embodies it. Take a good look at her career. You won't find an establishment Republican or money bag (like George Soros, Barackolytes) jumping in to back Sarah. Think what you will about her, it is without question remarkable how she took on the establishment of her own party and won. Who cares whether or not she's a regular on "Meet the Press" or whether or not she reads the New York Times. I think that's part of her appeal. She offends establishment Republicans? Good! That's what I call "Reaganesque". Now if we could just work on those communication skills!

And so, continuing this theme of a regular "Joe" taking on the establishment, I just had to share this video with you. You may have already seen this, but please feel free to pass this on. This is the blessed event where a Veteran U.S. Marine absolutely undresses Democrat Representative Brian Baird of WA at a recent Town Hall meeting.

Please enjoy!

I have seen this about a dozen times or so and still, can't get enough!

A Little More About Me

So who is this guy anyway? Who am I? I am a child of God, loving husband, proud father of three, lover of liberty and an avid free market thinker & practitioner.

By the way, notice the order of importance. Yeah. That's Divinely inspired for your instruction. Thank me very much! And no, I didn't just make that up. Check out my favorite "books'. The source is listed first.

I don't live in the trenches, from a political point of view, being that I live in not just California, but Northern California, less than an hour from the Golden Gate Bridge. If you drive like I drive. When la familia is not accompanying me in the car, of course.

No my friends, I live behind enemy lines. Now of course, I don't mean to say that the supposed free-thinkers on the "Progressive" side of the aisle are my enemies. It's just their ideas. I love people, but I confront the mentality that says that we have a lot to apologize for. You won't find any Liberal guilt here. Am I supposed to feel guilty for being an American? For not living in a perfect country? Are you kidding me? Nonsense! I should that to Martha's Vineyard (as of this posting) and all of the anti-American strongholds, be they foreign or domestic.

I say that we have thus far endured the types of challenges that have destroyed other nations. Of course, the "day ain't' over yet". And so, we are facing the greatest challenges to our great Republic that we've ever encountered. Ever! Because our threat comes from within.

I say that we are on the journey of the dream of a "brotherhood of men", thanks to the provisions and Mercy of God Almighty Himself. And of course, thanks to the sacrifices of the men and women who respected Him and held those truths near and dear to their hearts.

Now, for my fellow believers and non-believers alike, I intrinsically hold the view that neither this country or any other country, "union" or empire can truly achieve a "brotherhood of men". At least, not in the "Progressive" point of view.

By the way, I've always found the term "Progressive" offensive and dis informative, because there is nothing "Progressive" about Socialism. Socialism is the greatest force for subduing and emasculating the dreams, aspirations and efforts of people who love liberty and the pursuit of happiness. But I digress. What I mean to say is that the journey that recognizes individual liberty and its twin brother, individual responsibility, is a journey that brings about the best reality that we could possibly enjoy and hope to live in, while the Lord tarries!

We have a lot to be proud of because we've overcome. But we ain't done yet. Witness the Tea Protests. Witness the Town Halls where Patriots, both Democrat and Republican have confronted the scam that is governmental health care. We still have a ways to go. It's the journey, after all, that is part of the reward. It makes us stronger, more informed and endowed with the natural desire to share this freedom and throw off the shackles of mobocracy. For this journey, we must regain those promises that our Founding Fathers sought to bequeath the future generations.

Well, guess what?

The future is here, it is now. For those that chose to defend liberty -- you are today's Minutemen. You are today's Watchmen on the Wall.

And I stand beside you.

Welcome to Red State Right Mind

Hi there and welcome to When Being Red is a Good Thing.

With all of the incredible changes and blessed awakenings from Conservatives, Libertarians...and even Blue Dog Red-Blooded traditional Democrats going on these days, I thought that it was about time for me to jump into the fray. I'm just a concerned citizen, a regular every day ordinary guy who wants to add to the discussion. It's high time that we all let our voices be heard in an intelligent and well thought out manner.

A little humor, wit and irony makes the discussion fun.

But just because the discussion is fun doesn't mean that the content isn't critical to the survival or perhaps better put -- revival of what this great nation stands for. Our history, our foundations and everything that America stands for is under assault. There is a mindset out there that wants to redefine who we are and what we represent. And so, I look forward to contributing to the mix and giving a little red meat to my fellow Patriotic Americans out there.

So let God Bless America...even as we struggle against the will and the efforts to prevent it.
