Forget Them Not!

Forget Them Not
Whether or not you agree with the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, there is no question that the defenders of liberty who give their lives there deserve our respect and honor.  In that spirit, I pass on the excellent observation below, from an anonymous source:
Lindsay Lohan, 24, and Paris Hilton have gotten their names and faces all over the news because they spent a few days or weeks in jail for acting out negative behavior, resisting arrest, cocaine possession, and being drunk and disorderly in public .. not to mention their insolent attitudes.

So what do you know about these men?

Justin Allen, 23

Brett Linley, 29

Matthew Weikert, 29

Justus Bartett, 27

Dave Santos , 21

Chase Stanley, 21

Jesse Reed, 26

Matthew Johnson, 21

Zachary Fisher, 24

Brandon King, 23

Christopher Goeke, 23

Sheldon Tate, 27

Don't recognize their names? Well I can tell you none of them starred in a movie or made a record album, hit a home run or did a celebration in the end zone after scoring a touchdown. And none of them bragged about showcasing their talents for their fans while being paid millions and millions of dollars.

Give up? Then I should tell you they were all Marines who gave their lives for us this past week. They died for honor and for country. They're all heroes of the highest magnitude. No, you read nothing about them in the news, because they weren't newsworthy, but you can honor them as I do by forwarding this. It's a small sacrifice on our part, compared to theirs.

Thank you.
