Bachmann to Matthews: "That Thrill Isn't Tingly Anymore!"

Combative towards Republicans as usual Chris Matthews accused Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) of being "hypnotized" and under a "trance"  Because Bachmann would not take Matthews' bait.  Matthews kept trying to paint Bachmann as some sort of "McCarthyite" figure for, according to Matthews, "wanting to investigate Democrats for un American attitudes".  What Michele was trying to get across is that she wanted to see the media investigate Democrats as viciously as they do Republicans such as herself and Sarah Palin.  She has a point.  Had the media in 2008 gone after Senator Barack Obama the way they did Governor Palin, it is likely Hillary Clinton or John McCain would be President right now.  Last night's election results were a clear reaction nationwide to the "real Barack Obama", not the one sold to the American people through an idealogically aligned, out of the mainstream media.

Bachman would not take the bait and stuck to areas that she felt were important to the American people, as having been communicated by last night's election results.  Bachmann finally got fed up with Matthews' "gotcha" question and said "we're out of this "nightmare" and "we're thrilled." 

"I think people are thrilled tonight, I imagine that thrill is maybe not quite so tingly on your leg anymore," Rep. Bachmann told Matthews.  After the interview, a purple-faced Matthews said "I never used that word" and called Bachmann a moron. No, he didn't say "tingling", he said "thrill running up his leg."  But kudos to Michele my Belle for sticking it to Chrissy.
