Joe "the Gaffer" Biden |
Biden predicted a victory for the Democratic candidate in conservative Kentucky, state Attorney General Jack Conway, where the GOP nominee is Rand Paul, son of former presidential candidate Ron Paul. “I think we can beat Rand Paul — absolutely,” Biden said. “I think we’re going to do a great deal better than anyone gives us credit for. I do not see this grand debacle. Because by the time people walk into the booth, they’re going to have to choose between two people.” Ditto for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), who faces Republican Sharron Angle: “Yes. I give him a 55 percent chance or better.”
Give Joe credit for calling Nevada. He must have known that the Democrat Machine was going to pull out all the stops to keep ol' Dingy Harry Reid from being the first Senate Majority Leader to lose re-election. There was a story of Harrah's Executives pushing employees to vote early to help the Harry Reid campaign. I think more stories of voting shennanigans and outright corruption will be sure to emerge in the coming days and weeks after the 2010 election.
